When using barcode scanner, the barcode/sku will be used to identify specific product or product variant item, therefore adding product will be automatic.

The quantity will be default to 1 unit of it's defined product default stock measure, if the product minimum purchase quantity is greater than 1, a popup will be displayed so you need to confirm how many items exactly will be checked out.
